Nicholas Cage & Alice Kim

Article - Hollywood movie star Nicholas Cage is to wed a broke waitress he met two months ago in a sushi bar. According to The Sun, Cage proposed to 19-year-old Alice Kim with a huge diamond and emerald ring.

Nicholas met Alice when he was out dining with friends on Valentine’s Day at Sushi Avenue, where she worked. The star of Gone in 60 Seconds became so captivated by Alice while he was there that he invited her to the Oscars with him the following month. Cage, who is more than twice Alice’s age, created quite a stir at some of the Oscar after-show parties when he was seen with her on his knee. Since their Oscar date the actor has taken Alice in his private jet for several romantic meals in New Orleans and Chicago, where he has been filming.

A friend said: “Nic has really fallen for this girl. She lives with her family because she can’t afford her own place.“

Alice loves the ring Nic gave her and she was totally amazed by his actions. She keeps pinching herself to check she’s not dreaming.

“It’s not every day a hard-up waitress is swept off her feet by a Hollywood movie star.”

Cage hasn’t got a great track record when it comes to relationships. The twice-married star proposed to his first wife actress Patricia Arquette the first day they met in the early eighties. Arquette tried to fob him off by challenging him to a list of tasks he would have to complete to win her over. But when he started to fulfil her wishes she panicked and took off. They met up again a few years later and finally married in 1995 – but divorced in 2001.

Cage, who is well known for his obsession with Elvis Presley, went on to marry the King’s daughter Lisa Marie – but it only lasted three months and 15 days.

He later admitted that he “shouldn’t have married in the first place”. - End of Article

Okay so we all know where this is going. One word: GOLD DIGGER. She might like him but only because he's rich and famous and he just has a fetish for Asian girls. Supposedly they went to Disneyland with her whole family and we hear they're happy she's (they're) not going to be broke anymore. Let's see how long this one lasts...

There is something seriously wrong with what we're doing now if all we want is 'to go back to the past'.

Robot Mom Dream

I had a dream that I was a robot and was pregnant. But I felt completely human though. I was similar to an AI robot. I was one of many human robots that had to be transported because some people were out to destroy all the robots, called the DUI or something. We stood in line for hours at the pick-up zone and my husband was so worried about me because we were going to be separated. And by the way, I can never see my husband's face in my dreams, that pisses me off.

Anyways, they dropped me off at this house and all of a sudden I had two kids with me, which were mine, and we walked into this really crappy looking house and stayed there for days with a freaky old lady. I was so worried the DUI were going to come get us so I kept looking out the window. It was close to Christmas so we made presents and I sent them to my mom. It was really strange I was extremely motherly with my kids. I could just feel worrying about them being hungry or cold and I kept telling him "Daddy went to work, he'll be back soon.." over and over again, and then I woke up, and I thought, "Wow, I'm a pretty good mom."

ROBOT MOM TO THE RESCUE!!!

Too bad I didn't see my husband again. I looked up the stuff in my dream from a dream dictionary and this is what it said....

"To dream that you are pregnant, symbolizes an aspect of yourself or some aspect of your personal life that is growing and developing. You may not be ready to talk about it or act on it. This may also represent the birth of a new idea, direction, project or goal."

"To see children in your dream, signifies your own childlike qualities or a retreat back to a childlike state. It is an extension of your inner child during a time of innocence, purity, simplicity, and a carefree attitude. You may be longing for the past and the chance to satisfy repressed desires and unfulfilled hopes. Take some time off and cater to the inner child within. Perhaps there is something that you need to see grow and nurtured."

"To dream that you have a husband (but you do not in your waking life), symbolizes some sort of partnership and/or commitment. Often, it is also representative of the qualities of your father in which you projected onto this figure or the masculine side of your own personality. "

"To see an old, run-down house in your dream, represents your old beliefs, attitudes and how you used to think or feel. A situation in your current life may be bringing about those same old attitudes and feelings. Alternatively, the old house may symbolize your need to update you mode of thinking."

"To see a robot in your dream, indicates that you are going about life in a mechanical and rigid way. You have lost the ability to express your feelings. Alternatively, a robot may symbolize the way you view your working life."

Penguin's Ball.

So tonight, or should I say last night, was the Penguin's Ball. It actually pretty fun although I expected more people who said they were coming to be there but overall it has been one of the better events of this year. I got hit on by 2 random guys and I said I was too tired to dance, which brings me to the realization that I really don't like being hit on. A lot of people were shit face drunk, including Samdi, a senior friend of mine who was so drunk he picked me up and wouldn't let me down, then followed me into the bathroom for no reason, which was when I ran away. However, the best part of the night was that I won the raffle. I did a lot of gambling and by the end had a crap load of chips so I traded them in for a long string of raffle tickets. Don't know what I won though. Paul said to come to his office on Monday. Unlike the ball, the boat dance back earlier in the year was just disaster. People got seasick and piss ass drunks made it worse. One girl sprained her ankle because she fell down the stairs while the boat was rocking. I was so tired that night I fell asleep on the table, so yeah that night goes into my box of forgettable memories.

HEA Drug Provision

Why can't students with drug convictions get financial aid!!??

I was always wondered back in the days of filling out the oh so wonderful FAFSA why they asked in one section if you had been convicted of drugs...one question...but little did i know that if I had been convicted of drugs and checked yes there was no point in filling out the rest of the FAFSA because I wouldn't get any financial aid. However, about 47,000 students check yes and they end up not being able to go to college. Why? It's this little thing called the HEA Drug Provision. The HEA Drug Provision denies federal aid to any student convicted of a drug offense....in other words it was written to deter kids from going to college and mess their lives up even more. What the f*ck are these people thinking? Do they think not letting kids having the financial assistance to go to school is a productive approach to the drug abuse?? Don't educators say that an access to a college education is the best road to the mainstream economy and a crime-free life?? Kids make mistakes and more often than not kids look back at junior high/high school druggie days and think "What the f*ck was I thinking??" I mean really, although a person was convicted of drugs, they still have a future...it's what they make of it...and kids should have second chances because they f*ck up... But these people are trying to crush the hopes and dreams of those people who actually want to make something of their lives...How f*cked up is that???

Fortunately, last year, Rep. Barney Frank reintroduced his legislation to repeal the drug provision in full. Support H.R. 685, a bill to repeal the HEA Drug Provision here.
