There's a neat exhibit at MoCA (Museum of Chinese in the Americas) in New York on the history of Chinese restaurants. Isn't it funny how asian parents usually greet you with, "Have you eaten yet?" the same way other people say, "Hi, how are you?" So true.

Adobe Bookshop
This is awesome! If you're in SF this week, go look. "For one amazing week in November, Adobe Bookshop in San Francisco has agreed to allow its estimated 20,000 books to be reclassified by color. Shifting from red to orange to yellow to green, the books will follow the spectrum continuously, changing Adobe from a neighborhood bookshop into a magical library—but only for one week."

Too bad they dont do that at all libraries. :)

Kiwi

I wonder which came first?
Kiwis are good, except my tongue starts getting sore if I eat too many of them, very similar to how it hurts when I eat too much pineapple. Too acidic. Ouch.

Top 50 Places to Eat
World's best restaurant is the Fat Duck in London. It beat out French Laundry(in n. cali) and El Bulli in Spain. The chef of French Laundry also has a restaurant in NY called Per Se which is also in the top 10.
Now I really want to go to French Laundry, the average reservation has to be made at least 2 months in advance. The chef is also affiliated with Bouchon in Vegas at the Venetian. The prices dont look that bad.

R.I.P Min
Too much has happened this past week.
A old friend of mine died in a motorcycle accident last friday and soon thereafter his girlfriend committed suicide because she felt like it was her fault (he was on her way to see her). It was all over the news. It's like the story of Romeo & Juliet. That's 3 deaths for me in one month. : (

I love to sleep in on rainy days. It's so nice to wake up to the sound of rain dripping off a roof or splashing against the windowsill. When it rains, it means my roommates and I don't go to class. Our own personal rule. And it rains a friggin lot here in Norcal, so there goes half the semester. Hehehe.
I like the smell of fall and of winter. I love San Francisco in December. Cold clean air is so refreshing compared to our smoggy LA air. NY winters are nice too, with the exception of the nasty sewer odors whenever you walk somewhere. Humid east coast summers aren't appealing at all though.
Hope u guys are voting tomorrow!

VH1 Driven: Tyra Banks
Hey Immacers!!Our school was in VH1's documentary Driven: Tyra Banks! Mr. Van Vliet & Ruth Anne Murray were interviewed and they talked about Tyra! Mr. Van Vliet was on tv! That is awesome!
Check the VH1.com to check when it's airing next.
Our school was mentioned as "A school for the truly gifted." in the documentary but when I read the VH1 summary about the show/her life, they mentioned how she went to high school at an "all girl's convent school." CONVENT SCHOOL!? WTF MAN!? Anyway, go Immaculate Heart!

R.I.P Doctor Kim
Current Event: KNBC-TV
LOS ANGELES - A Vietnamese refugee is hoping to become one of the 10 million people who pass through Bradley International Terminal at LAX.
The political and religious refugee has been living in the airport for one month after losing crucial travel documents.
LAX police said the case is rare -- the man wants to reverse his refugee status and go back to home country. They noticed the man a few weeks ago. He had a ticket, but never seemed to depart.
"He stood out," said Sgt. Vince Garcia. "He was somewhat destitute with no money and did not understand the language. You want to do whatever you can to help the individual. The problem is he speaks no English and very little Vietnamese."
Airport officials said they have been unable to locate anyone who speaks the same dialect as the man.
LAX was just one stop for the man and two friends. He plans to return to his wife and five children when the travel documents are replaced, a process that might take about three months.
The man has not seen his family for four years. In a scenario similar to that in the movie "The Terminal," many airport workers and city employees have befriended the man. Some even bring his meals.
Editor's Note: The man's identity was not revealed because he might face persecution in his homeland.
It didn't work.

New Friends
rain = homeless ants
Last night I sprayed them with windex (ghetto yes, I know, but that's all I had). It made my walls bluish and the lil suckers stopped moving, but then after the windex dried they resurrected themselves. It was like magic. When I woke up this morning the "dead" ants were all gone. They either all came back to life or fell off the wall. Ew ew ew. Go back outside!

Upcoming Election
I'm sure a lot of you aren't registered to vote, and I'm also sure some of you are registered to vote but aren't going to vote.
Even though I definitely don't agree with this I kind of do understand - actually, I'm just trying to understand. I think the problem is when you're so young you don't seem to want care about issues older people might want to care about. Average adults usually have other aspects of their life in check, therefore being able to familiarize them selves and care about important world issues. I'm not saying the youth shouldn't care about these issues, but when you're so young, concerned with so many things, worried about so much, it's easy to forget about the other important factors that affect you. You're clouded by adolescence, dazed by glitterati; you find it hard to care.
But the point is it's going to be important to care at one time or another; why not just start now? Some of you might not feel like politicians aren't paying attention to you. But with fewer than only one in five teens voting would you be confident in today's youth?? Would you really want to address issues if you knew about less than half of teens would care??
It'd be much better if parents took a played a bigger part in informing their children about voting. When parents talk about politics with their kids, when they participate themselves, when they take their kids to vote with them, that all this leads to a higher level of interest in politics among the children. However, even a lot of adults don't vote. This is where I definitely don't have any sympathy. This is where I ask, "Why do you live here? . Some people might respond (this would really piss me off) "I pay taxes. That's enough." If you think paying taxes is enough, then move your ass to Canada where you'll reap great benefits for double the tax amount. You don't deserve to live here. You're screwing voter turnout because your children are probably thinking voting isn't that important either! *angry face*
On the brighter side, they even have the WWE trying to get people to vote through "Smackdown Your Vote! Even wrestlers are trying to get people involved! Woohoo!
One problem though: Voting during normal business hours. Hello? People are working??
This doesn't make it any easier for people to vote. It freaking sucks.

Nostalgia
Hmm. What else do I miss? I miss freezing Capri Suns, cutting off the top, and eating the inside with a spoon. I miss when my mom actually used to cook for me. I miss making barbie clothes out of tissue. I miss putting scotch tape on my skin and tearing it off and examining the skin particles. Oh, wait, nevermind, I still do that. I miss liking art, until I took a particular ceramics class that made me hate it. I miss drawing lands where my little stick figures would have little huts and paved roads and there'd always been a chicken or winged creature of some sort roasting on a stick outside their hut. But then there wouldn't always be something roasting, because at the tender age of 8 I knew that in REAL life food disappears, so at one time or another I would erase the food and draw it in again, if I had already erased the vegetables that were growing in their backyard. Sometimes their huts would burn down too, when karma would come and bite my stick people in the ass because they weren't nice to their neighbors and wouldn't share their water well, where in that case I would draw flames on their straw hut and the stick people would be no more..... EA should hire me. I would create kick ass expansion packs for the SIMS 2. =)

Christopher Reeve
He was a big advocate for stem cell research and was even mentioned by Kerry during the Presidential debate. I support stem cell research all the way. I however, am pro-choice. I don't see a zygote as marking the advent of a human life. I don't think there's anything wrong with using embryos as a result of miscarriage, in vitro or abortion. Embryos from in vitro clinics would otherwise be discarded and could be used instead to benefit people suffering from disease and injury. Of course, there a lot of moral and ethical issues associated with stem cell research, but medicine is a practice, and without practice we would have never been able to get to the medical advances we have today. Since we've come this far, stem cell research should be considered the next step in medical history. Even with the risks, there can be no progress without them.
.....So while we as a society continue to grapple with the moral and ethical concerns, and scientists try to work out matter of safety and efficacy, many people who might be helped by stem cell therapy have to wait. Unfortunately, for many suffering Americans their window of opportunity to stabilize and even reverse or cure their medical challenges will pass them by like Christopher Reeve. It would be best to start as soon as possible.
Anyway, I'm writing a paper on this in my ethics class, so I'm sort of brainstorming. Oh yeah, this topic is another reason I hate Bush. -_-

Criticism
When we judge or criticize another person, it says nothing about that person; it merely says something about our own need to be critical.
If you attend a gathering and listen to all the criticism that is typically levied against others, and then go home and consider how much good all that criticism actually does to make our world a better place, you'll probably come up with the same answer that I do: Zero! It does no good. But that's not all. Being critical not only solves nothing; it contributes to the anger and distrust in the world. After all, none of us likes to be criticized. Our reaction to criticism is usually to become defensive and/or withdrawn. A person who feels attacked is likely to do one of the two things: he will either retreat in fear or shame, or he will attack or lash out in anger. How many times have you criticized someone and had them respond by saying, "Thank you so much for pointing out my flaws. I really appreciate it"?
Criticism, like swearing, is actually nothing more than a bad habit. It's something we get used to doing; we're familiar with how it feels. It keeps us busy and gives us something to talk about. If, however, you take a moment to observe how you actually feel immediately after you criticize someone, you'll notice that you will feel a little deflated and ashamed, almost like you're the one who has been attacked. The reason this is true is that when we criticize, it's a statement to the world and to ourselves, "I have a need to be critical." This isn't something we are usually proud to admit.
The solution is to catch yourself in the act of being critical. Notice how often you do it and how bad it makes you feel or makes others feel. Maybe we should just turn it into a game. We'll still catch ourselves being critical, but as our need to criticize arises, you try to remember to say to yourself, "There I go again." Hopefully, more often than not, you can turn your criticism into tolerance and respect.
Resist the urge to criticize, and the world will be a happier place. =)I was at the dentist yesterday in Santa Clara & I was supposed to meet a friend of mine named Flora but turns out one of her friends was going to go kill her boyfriend, literally, so she had to attend to that. Oh yeah and on the way back from the dentist I was thinking of visiting my friend Erin at Stanford but I couldn't find her phone number. Missed out on two friends in one day. =/
Last night Joyce invited me to go to City Nights, but me not being the clubber type and not wanting to spend 20 bucks to get into a stupid club that's probably going to be too crowded and loud anyway, I decided to stay here and study. What a nerd.Okay I'm starving. I'm going to eat my organic noodles now. =)

Why Do We Hate Bush?
Any democrat will give you the same answer when asked any question regarding our President Bush, "he's stupid." I mean, you might get Nazi, Hitler, murderer, religious freak, or even daddy's boy. No matter what the conversation is about, it almost always ends up with, "he's stupid."
Pres. Bush has as much of an education than a lot of our other Presidents in the past, if not more. I grant you he wasn't a Rhode Scholar that spent a good part of the Vietnam War protesting the USA at home and overseas, nor did he have the battlefield experience of a former Vice President who photographed real soldiers hundreds of miles from actual combat. All President Bush did was graduate from Harvard with a MBA, fly fighter jets in the Texas Air National Guard and work in the real world of business. Talk about under achieving!!
Other things you hear about Bush is that he's a rich frat boy and/or he's a hillbilly from Texas -that accent of his doesn't really help with the idea that he may not be. So which is it? When discussing the economy he's a wealthy kid with no understanding of how hard Americans work for their money. On the other hand, if the talk's about international matters, he's a "cowboy" a.k.a hillbilly with no ability or understanding of how to make friends with those who hate us, you know, "building an international coalition." It's really time to come to a consensus on exactly why we hate Bush.
Well, since he was elected, or selected depending on the level of hate, this guy has managed to give us Americans a tax cut. Whoop-di-friggin-doo. "Like wow! I got like 30 bucks back! That's 5 more dollars than last year! Our country MUST be changing! Gotta love that Bush!" Yeah, right. He also passed an education bill and somehow has reformed Medicare. In the midst of all this he has successfully executed two wars and captured or killed more than half of the top terrorist leaders while capturing one of the world's most brutal dictators. Oh yeah, and through the actions of this war on terror he's persuaded another rogue dictator with WMD to give up his brutal dictatorship without a shot being fired, all this from a monkey looking guy who takes the "little blue bus" to and from the Oval Office everyday.
When Bush does something wrong he never takes the blame. Those damn excuses: "The CIA made a mistake", "The intelligence was in error", "We got wrong information", "It was the State Dept's fault.", etc. Now when we talk about Saddam Hussein, we never hear, the "Baath parliament made a mistake", The Prime Minister gave out the wrong information", or "It was the fault of a few". Jesus!Saddam Hussein is blamed for everything! Bush doesn't want to accept blame for anything that happens in his administration, which to him means he does nothing wrong. So I guess he's not human because he's THAT perfect. He's good at beating around the bush - no pun intended.
Facts are facts you guys, and this guy, who was designated as the leader of our country 4 years ago, has no friggin idea what's he's doing in that West Wing. I mean, look at the way he talks on TV. I swear that man has dyslexia or something. He always seems to lose battles with the English language every time a word comes out of his mouth, or doesn't, which is always funny, haha. I know what you're thinking, tons of people killed, Halliburton, WMD, war for oil, these are the logical reasons to hate Bush, but I ask you, do you even know what Halliburton does? I know the news, media, and the liberal elements in colleges are convinced we should hate Bush. The problem is, we're still trying to figure out why.
A few other facts...
All of Bush's businesses failed.
He got into YALE with a C average grade because of his father.
He was suspended from the Texas Air National Guard because of refusing to comply with a physical (drugs).
He didnt capture 1/2 of the world's top terrorists. =/ He let Osama get away by leaving his capture to Afghan warlord when US troops had him cornered.
Some of you may run with this but I really don't care. Contrary view more than welcome.
Happy voting!

Pikachu at Farmer's Market
But then after I bought a gyro to eat, all of a sudden she woke up and rigorously started sniffing the air as if something had caught her attention and while I walked eating it, she just kept STARING at me, or rather the gyro - longingly. The gyro was beef and lamb. Rats don't eat meat. Or are they carnivores? Do rats eat meat? O_o?

Health problems, again.
I also went to see a neurologist today. We didn't do too much except I had to move around doing weird poses to check my nerves. We scheduled an appointment for a nerve conduction test on Wednesday.
Random thought. You know the toilet seat cover dispensers in public restrooms? Why do they always say "Pull up and then pull down"? It works just fine just pulling it out.

Today’s subject, excuse the language, is the subject of whiny bitches. Alright we really need to do something about whiny little bitches who complain and complain but never do anything about their problems. It's sad to think that there are only a handful of people who know what they want and actually get what they want. People need to want to gain more out of life than just sit there and wait for things to happen. I'm not saying it's easy business, but what's so hard about trying a little to get things done. It's a matter of being a mature, responsible person, but most people aren't gifted with maturity. I think maturity is a gift and a curse, the younger it comes, the wiser you are, but it's also a curse because the wiser you are, the more complex life seems to get; you see more therefore you are more, while there are still immature people around you who don't even understand close to what you're thinking. The difficult part of being mature and is trying not to get so annoyed at immaturity. What can you do if you're mature and a friend is not? It's hard to have a give & take relationship in that situation because one person knows so much more, but it's all a matter of just accepting that not everyone is like you and sometimes you just have to teach them things.

Universal Studios
Today I went to Universal Studios. I haven't been there since I was like 13 or something and it seemed the same, except they had some new shows and they took out the E.T. ride and replaced it with the Mummy ride. The T-Rex in the Jurassic Park ride that you see right before the drop STILL wasn't working since I had last been there. You'd think they would have fixed it by now since it's a big tourist attraction; the broken down T-Rex looks dead or something and it definitely takes away from the ride. I really have this feeling that Universal doesn't really like spending money on their theme park because they're too busy spending money on their films. I just found out today on the tram ride that it took about 12,000,000 dollars to make JAWS. I really don't like when too much money is spent making movies. I mean, I just think that that kind of money could have been helped the less fortunate, and 12,000,000 dollars could feed the impoverished people in other countries for a good amount of time and definitely replenish some of their living conditions. Another example is how the cast of FRIENDS were paid. A MILLION DOLLARS an episode. Fucking ridiculous. Yeah, a lot of people loved FRIENDS, but sorry, they're not THAT great and not worth a million dollars an episode. I mean, they're just greedy to ask for 7 digits for what, 30 minutes!! That's roughly about $33,333 a minute!!! And what do they do?? Just do whatever they did in the previous episode, act like their character, following some script and standing around looking like pretty people.
We live in a world where the rich remain rich, the poor remain poor, the homeless remain homeless, and the hungry remain hungry. Obviously there's something wrong and all due to our capitalistic and profit-driven society, we give money to large corporations instead of taking care of the people who need it. We need to take a step back and reaarrange our priorities. We need to start helping those that need it and stop feeling sorry for those that are already priviledged enough to have something. There are millions of hungry and mal-nourished Americans and billions overseas, yet our government spends trillions of dollars on war! Feed the planet not the Pentagon.

Ok maybe a slight twinge of happiness at the sight of the newest pair of shoes, but I'm trying to be a good girl and save for the future. That's a first. Me? Save? And I thought about what happens if I move to another state. I can't bring all my shoes with me. Well, I guess I could.....

Triple Star Sighting
Current Event: Some nine year-old saved his mom's life when he took the steering wheel after his mom blacked out during an epileptic seizure. He safely steered the car off the freeway. 2003 VMA Kiss
Madonna and Britney Spears are planning to re-stage their now infamous kiss, according to press reports.
This would be like Janet Jackson deciding to show her other ugly breast to America at next year's superbowl. Nobody cares!
Saturday, June 05, 2004
BRITNEY Spears has been given permission to tour China on one condition - officials want prior approval of her outfits to check they are not too revealing.Hmm, I wonder why that is. Maybe it has something to do with Britney's inability to keep her breasts inside her tops. Not that I'm complaining, mind you, but I can see how her crazy antics might piss off our more conservative friends in China.

Life's crumbs
Ever think that the universe was sending you little bread crumbs to follow? That perhaps your little hopes were being heard, but it's not really handed to you on a silver plate. just enough so you follow the right path? But I'm not talking about some sort of religious thing here, just little things. Sometimes, I think the universe is just teasing me.
"Look here. It's what you always wanted. Oh, but it's just out of your reach. Sorry. Try again."
Don't get me wrong. I am so glad to be alive, to have the life that i have, to experience the moments that make up our lives, to live in the moment, to make each day different from the last.
I'm gonna take it as it comes. Whatever happens....happens.

Paris Hilton
We've all heard the jokes, so I'll just quickly refer to Paris Hilton as a giant praying mantis and then we'll move on. Boy, that Paris Hilton sure does look like a giant praying mantis.
I'm sure we're all sick of Paris by now, but I know there are some of you out there who still enjoy seeing her in the occasional bathing/birthday suit. Is she skinny? Yes. But does anybody really care? Of course not. She hasn't quite reached the point of anorexia where it becomes disgusting so it's all good. Until then, we can all rejoice in the paparazzi heroes that keep on bringing us the pictures we loooove to see. -__-

Barbra Streisand
"Singer Barbra Streisand has been ordered to pay a six-figure sum to an amateur photographer whom she had sued for $10m (£5.5m) in a privacy dispute."What's that, Barbra? You're a whiny little bitch? The idea that this filthy rich celebrity decided to sue an amateur photographer for $10 million is somewhere along the lines of lunacy.
"But he took a picture of my multimillion dollar estate!"
Are you out of your mind? I don't care what kind of problem you have with stalkers, suing a non celebrity/CEO for $10 million is just plain stupid. Is it possible that celebrities are so warped in their own little worlds that they don't realize that a normal human being can't pay $10 million? I hate celebrities who have no appreciation for what they have and what's been given to them. They make 100x the average person's salary and all they can do is bitch about how fans keep bothering them. And on occasion, their millions of dollars just aren't enough so they have to go and sue some Joe Schmoe for $10 million more.
Read more.Childhood memories
When I was five, I stuck a pearl up my nose and crawled under my mom’s bed.
That same year, I liked running around butt ass naked while my mom would change me and posing for my mom to take pictures of my butt.
When I was 6, I found out I was chionophobic (fear of snow) and I hated the cold. However, that phobia disappeared after a while. Good thing because I would’ve never learned to figure skate.
When I was 7, I loved building tents/forts/shacks in my room. I would steal food from the refridgerator and camp out. Robinson Crusoe was my hero.
That same year, I watched The Little Mermaid so much the VCR ate my tape. I was sad. =( Then I would just go to the spa with my mom and pretend to be Ariel in the pool. I think I even bound my feet together (because you know, mermaids don't have legs) with something, don't remember what, but I had a bit of trouble swimming as you can imagine.
When I was 8, I had a fetish of sticking random things on my body. I have pictures to prove how random these things were.
When I was 8 ½ , I liked sticking rose thorns on my nose. I also liked making outfits for my barbies out of tissues and scotch tape. I applied make-up (especially red lipstick) with a lip brush to all my barbies before they started their day with Ken.
When I was 9 and until today, I used to cut up my neighbor’s plants and make meals out of them. (i.e. salads, thicker leaves would be cut up and labeled steak).
When I was 10, I started wearing heels. Headbands became a fetish. Got into nail polish and pink Tinkerbell lipstick which I would reapply every 2 seconds.
When I was 10 ½, I talked to my drawings. The girl characters and the boy characters started liking each other. That same year, I liked feeding honey and sugar to ants in my driveway.
When I was 11, I would hold math class with my neighborhood friends and I, of course, was the teacher. I gave tests and everything. The whole nine yards. When I was 12, I used to go around giving cootie shots with my lead pencil. My fellow classmates called me the “school nurse.”
When I was 13, the boobs appeared. Year 13 was seriously a fashion nightmare.
When I was 15, the boobs got larger. The story ends here. Childhood over. Life begins.
My mom only recalls me falling twice in my childhood. I’ve never broken a bone. I was a cautious kid, what can I say =) God what happened to me???
I was a strange kid. I really was. It was all part of the OCS (Only Child Syndrome). I made that up in high school. I did strange things. O_o My mom and dad used to think I had problems. They probably still do.
What else? I can't remember. There's DEFINITELY more. I need to dig through my brain and retrace some more and I'll get back to ya. Not an easy process you know. G'night.

Keeping fit
You know, I used to hate my broad shoulders because I always wanted to be a petite girl, but not anymore. I found out having defined shoulders looks better and makes it easier to tone your arms, so now I embrace them.
Does anyone want to go to my gym with me? I go to the most awesome gym with really cool classes like Black Belt Ballet, Cardio Striptease, Kama Sutra Yoga, Dance Street, etc. But the classes are intense and so are the trainers. But that's what you get for paying the fare there so take advantage of me and go as my gym buddy!! Just let me know so I can put you on my guest list.
The best weather these days! OH GOD it's almost orgasmic. I went to the beach yesterday and the weather was perfect. I was on the pier and I wasn't even cold. Just a great warm breeze...
Another thing. I am the QUEEN OF MARIO KART. UNBREAKABLE. UNBEATABLE. UNTOUCHABLE. ZIP. I went to my friend's Paul apartment yesterday at UCLA and I beat him and all of his roommates. YEEAAH...girl power.
You can never be too old for video games, as long as your co-workers never find out your idol is Yoshi and you have the hots for mario. LOL. JK.

Feeling loved
I'm feeling really good about myself. When things get hard there are people who just try to make your life more difficult and then there's people who somehow manage to make your life easier. Recently I've experienced the latter.
Yesterday I got to talk to a younger friend of mine who I hadn't had contact with for about 3 years. Well we talked for a while and she told me how she was doing and I told her what was going on with me...basially just touch base.. but what really got to me in the convo was when she told me I had always been her role model. How great is it to know you are someone's role model? Pretty damn good I tell you...
Then today I received a card from a classmate of mine who I don't actually know well at all. I just know her name and that she's a very attractive Kristin Kreuk look-alike, but she sent me a card telling me how much she admired me as a person because I'm always working hard at my success and thanked me for making her feel comfortable the first few weeks we were at college (we had class together) by just being a friendly, easygoing person. That message was the highlight of my day and I didn't get to see her and thank her and I won't be able to because I'm leaving tommorow, which kind of sucks, but it feels so good to know I made a difference in someone's life. I was really flattered.
The next couple weeks I will be participating in a number of volunteer and community service events. I know that I'll definitely find that very fulfilling. When things get really crazy I think of the people I love and the people that love me...but it's just so nice when you find out someone you didn't expect be thinking about you had you in their thoughts. It's just those surprises that keep me going. My life in the last year has had a lot of those.

Nicholas Cage & Alice Kim
Article - Hollywood movie star Nicholas Cage is to wed a broke waitress he met two months ago in a sushi bar. According to The Sun, Cage proposed to 19-year-old Alice Kim with a huge diamond and emerald ring. Nicholas met Alice when he was out dining with friends on Valentine’s Day at Sushi Avenue, where she worked. The star of Gone in 60 Seconds became so captivated by Alice while he was there that he invited her to the Oscars with him the following month. Cage, who is more than twice Alice’s age, created quite a stir at some of the Oscar after-show parties when he was seen with her on his knee. Since their Oscar date the actor has taken Alice in his private jet for several romantic meals in New Orleans and Chicago, where he has been filming.
A friend said: “Nic has really fallen for this girl. She lives with her family because she can’t afford her own place.“
Alice loves the ring Nic gave her and she was totally amazed by his actions. She keeps pinching herself to check she’s not dreaming.
“It’s not every day a hard-up waitress is swept off her feet by a Hollywood movie star.”
Cage hasn’t got a great track record when it comes to relationships. The twice-married star proposed to his first wife actress Patricia Arquette the first day they met in the early eighties. Arquette tried to fob him off by challenging him to a list of tasks he would have to complete to win her over. But when he started to fulfil her wishes she panicked and took off. They met up again a few years later and finally married in 1995 – but divorced in 2001.
Cage, who is well known for his obsession with Elvis Presley, went on to marry the King’s daughter Lisa Marie – but it only lasted three months and 15 days.
He later admitted that he “shouldn’t have married in the first place”. - End of Article
Okay so we all know where this is going. One word: GOLD DIGGER. She might like him but only because he's rich and famous and he just has a fetish for Asian girls. Supposedly they went to Disneyland with her whole family and we hear they're happy she's (they're) not going to be broke anymore. Let's see how long this one lasts...

Robot Mom Dream
Anyways, they dropped me off at this house and all of a sudden I had two kids with me, which were mine, and we walked into this really crappy looking house and stayed there for days with a freaky old lady. I was so worried the DUI were going to come get us so I kept looking out the window. It was close to Christmas so we made presents and I sent them to my mom. It was really strange I was extremely motherly with my kids. I could just feel worrying about them being hungry or cold and I kept telling him "Daddy went to work, he'll be back soon.." over and over again, and then I woke up, and I thought, "Wow, I'm a pretty good mom."
ROBOT MOM TO THE RESCUE!!!
Too bad I didn't see my husband again. I looked up the stuff in my dream from a dream dictionary and this is what it said....
"To dream that you are pregnant, symbolizes an aspect of yourself or some aspect of your personal life that is growing and developing. You may not be ready to talk about it or act on it. This may also represent the birth of a new idea, direction, project or goal."
"To see children in your dream, signifies your own childlike qualities or a retreat back to a childlike state. It is an extension of your inner child during a time of innocence, purity, simplicity, and a carefree attitude. You may be longing for the past and the chance to satisfy repressed desires and unfulfilled hopes. Take some time off and cater to the inner child within. Perhaps there is something that you need to see grow and nurtured."
"To dream that you have a husband (but you do not in your waking life), symbolizes some sort of partnership and/or commitment. Often, it is also representative of the qualities of your father in which you projected onto this figure or the masculine side of your own personality. "
"To see an old, run-down house in your dream, represents your old beliefs, attitudes and how you used to think or feel. A situation in your current life may be bringing about those same old attitudes and feelings. Alternatively, the old house may symbolize your need to update you mode of thinking."
"To see a robot in your dream, indicates that you are going about life in a mechanical and rigid way. You have lost the ability to express your feelings. Alternatively, a robot may symbolize the way you view your working life."
To interpret your dream go here.

HEA Drug Provision
I was always wondered back in the days of filling out the oh so wonderful FAFSA why they asked in one section if you had been convicted of drugs...one question...but little did i know that if I had been convicted of drugs and checked yes there was no point in filling out the rest of the FAFSA because I wouldn't get any financial aid. However, about 47,000 students check yes and they end up not being able to go to college. Why? It's this little thing called the HEA Drug Provision. The HEA Drug Provision denies federal aid to any student convicted of a drug offense....in other words it was written to deter kids from going to college and mess their lives up even more. What the f*ck are these people thinking? Do they think not letting kids having the financial assistance to go to school is a productive approach to the drug abuse?? Don't educators say that an access to a college education is the best road to the mainstream economy and a crime-free life?? Kids make mistakes and more often than not kids look back at junior high/high school druggie days and think "What the f*ck was I thinking??" I mean really, although a person was convicted of drugs, they still have a future...it's what they make of it...and kids should have second chances because they f*ck up... But these people are trying to crush the hopes and dreams of those people who actually want to make something of their lives...How f*cked up is that???
Fortunately, last year, Rep. Barney Frank reintroduced his legislation to repeal the drug provision in full. Support H.R. 685, a bill to repeal the HEA Drug Provision here.

Doe! A deer! A female deer!
Jaime: Yeah.
Tracy: Holy crap they're close.
Jaime: Yeah... they're used to us.
Tracy: You know what I've noticed?
Jaime: What.
Tracy: Deer have just enough tail to cover their butthole.
Jaime: What?
Tracy: Yeah...you know...their tails are always flipped down over their butthole...and there's just enough of it....not too much tail...not too little.
Jaime: O_o
Tracy: It's shaped like a leaf...like the ones in the Bible that covered Adam & Eve...but furry. Huh?? Haven't you noticed that!?
Jaime: Umm...I don't really look at that area when I look at deer...[laughs]
Tracy: How could you not? Don't you look at the WHOLE deer? I mean...you don't just look at their face...they're always moving around or something.
Jaime: Yeah...but I don't really turn my attention to their private parts...[laughs]
Tracy: I noticed that in the movie Bambi too.
Jaime: You're weird....[laughs]

South Beach Diet
Well, in the beginning of the year Marc and I had an agreement to be work-out buddies every Friday of the week, umm, well, that lasted for about a week.
I'm excited about this new gym membership I won! They have a ton of classes too but I think I'm just going to be signing up for a cardio class and a pilates class. I have no idea how my work schedule is going to be like this summer so I figure it's best to keep a lot of it open (work is ever changing).
Current Event: Now, don't you all go worrying about Gray Davis. He may not be working steady, but he is working. Have you guys all seen the new Yahoo commercial?
"Hi, I'm Gray Davis, I used to governor of California (laughs)...I search on Yahoo, I'm looking for an agent...One actor got to be governor, so maybe a former governor can go into acting...I don't think action-adventure would be my milieu, but who knows? Maybe... I gotta be positive."
I'm not the biggest Gray Davis supporter but I always thought he had the facial features of a genuinely nice person, but regarding this commercial can someone please tell me ..why.

How Do Ducks Float?
One afternoon while Jaime and I were driving back to school from the mall...
Tracy: It amazes me how can ducks float.
[contemplative silence]
Jaime: How DO ducks float?
Tracy: *shrug* I don't know. Just a random thought.
It was that same thought that led Jaime on a quest to find an answer and he kept asking me over and over until finally another afternoon 2 months later on a trip back from jamba juice...
Jaime: Tracy, guess what I found the answer to why ducks can float.
Tracy: Huh? Wait a minute. Oh my god you're still wondering about that?
Jaime: I know but I had to get Elvia to look it up.
Tracy: Okay, did you find the answer? How DO ducks float then?
Jaime: Alright, so basically there's like this special gland that produces oil back near the duck's tail and as the duck grooms itself, the oil is spread out over its feathers and coats them making them waterproof. HOWEVER, if you were to put a degreaser on the duck, it would remove the oil and the duck would drown in water! Therefore, making that Dawn commercial where they use the dishwashing liquid to clean the duck that was caught in the oil spill, cruelty to animals!!!
Tracy: ...
Tracy: But that commercial was so cute...
Jaime: Isn't that sad though??!!
Tracy: Well, I'm sure they let the duck re-oil itself before they tossed it back into the wild, if it has the ability to do that?
[contemplative silence]
Voting
What's the goddam point of living in America if you don't want to vote?
People these days have really been irritating me with their answers of "I don't know" or "I don't care" or "I just don't feel like it." Some people say that they're still too young..WHAT? You know there's a reason they passed that law that 18 year olds could vote. How could you call yourself an American and not vote? What are you doing here?
This is speaking ESPECIALLY to those of you who were born here. You know how lucky you were to have been born into this country? You know how easy we've got it in America? Some people fail to appreciate the fact that we're living in luxury compared to some countries that are living to just to stay alive. They've got nothing else. We've got everything.
If you don't choose to vote don't complain about how expensive gas is, how much tuition is going up in schools, even how stupid you think Bush is, the truth is,most people don't even know what's going on in the world, sure you catch a glimpse of the news and painfully observe Bush's terrible speaking and watch him send more American troops to death but how can you complain if you're not trying to do anything about it? Honestly, I haven't been met one person who's been able to carry a decent conversation about politics or world issues. I know that politics is one of those things you shouldn't talk about with people, but it's what's going on in the world YOU live in. It matters.
Well to the people that are already registered and ready to go..good for you! And for others that are not...*sigh..I've told you what is true, and really it's your life, however if you've changed your mind, you can register here. :)

The Week from HELL
1. Two of my friend's close family friends died in the SAME week and because she lives in PA, couldn't even attend the funeral of someone she's known all her life.
2. One of my other close friends get into a huge fight with the girl above where I am put into the position of middle man.
3. One of my friends gets sent to the psychiatric ER; her mom had to come all the way from Ohio to take her back home. (we never even got to say goodbye)
4. Somehow after my friend went back to Ohio, a bunch of my other friends started hating each other
5. A friend finds out his sister forgot to file his FAFSA and loses his scholarship
6. Alexis' chihuahua popcorn died.
7. Her boyfriend found out his dog has cancer.
8. surely there is more to come...
BUT just to top off such a great week, on Saturday...
Two girls decide to build a freaking fort in their room and they were smart because they hung a sheet over the bloody FIRE SPRINKLER causing it to break and 400 gallons of water per minute come shooting out. SMART GIRLS - high off weed and piss ass drunk. So all of us heard the fire alarm and evacuated. We were outside for 4 strenuous hours in 45 degree weather, and when we were finally let back in at 3 in the morning, there was water everywhere: in the halls, in 12 bedrooms (including mine), in the bathrooms, just everywhere. The water that shot out from upstairs had seeped through and down the walls onto our floor. Then I hear Paul cussing out the girls upstairs and threw a beer bottlecap at one of the girl's faces, but the girls were so high they just laughed. THEY LAUGHED. They laughed not knowing they were going to be responsible for over $500,000 in damages in the next couple days, they laughed not thinking how many people would want to beat their asses, they laughed about their college careers going down the drain. Sucks.
That night everyone was up until 4 in the morning trying to clean up the mess and furious about damages to their personal belongings. I fell asleep with the door open, my pants soaking from walking up and down the flooded halls, with the light on, and practically a river going through my room. Eventually the maintenance came to mop but that was only the beginning.
The next couple days were hell; the frosting on the cake. It reeked of mildew because the water was in the walls and in the wooden floor. I swear we scrubbed the life out of that wooden floor with Clorox 3 times and it didn't work. With that, we were breathing in mildew particles floating through the air into our lungs and my nose just became used to the smell of mildew, and oh it gets worse...
Then while I'm having an important meeting with a professor I get a call from Alexis, and this is like 2 hours before her flight left for LA, telling me we were ordered to evacuate our rooms and find somewhere else to stay because supposedly a group of scientists came and said the water was spreading throughout the walls and floors, not drying, and that they needed to bring in heavy duty equipment, staff, lift the floors, turn up the heaters to 100 degrees to fix it asap. We had to take most of our stuff too because there were basically going to turn our rooms upside down. No prior notice. We just had to get our asses out of there, STAT. And oh yeah I forgot to mention Marc's sister was coming tommorow to stay with me. I feel bad because she was all excited to see how it is in college. Well this is how it is when you live with dumb people.
Now it's Easter break and most people went home. Me? I'm sitting here in the dark in Shaun's room because she went home and I had to move all my crap into this room. Oh by the way, the power went out too, right when I was drying my laundry.
PERFECT.

Plastic Surgery
Do teens not understand that having plastic surgery is making it obvious to others that they're not happy with themselves? Do they really think changing their appearance is going to make them happier?? Some teens believe plastic surgery is a quick fix for their physical, and in turn, their emotional problems, and that's simply isn't the case. Looks don't directly translate into feelings. Sure plastic surgery may be a quick fix, but it doesn't prepare people for the things that can't be so easily snipped and tucked in the real world. I feel like they're picking the easiest and fastest solution while actually avoiding the root of the problem. And to make it worse there's so much media coverage of plastic surgery on TV shows like "Extreme Makeover", "Nip/Tuck", "I Want a Famous Face", and "The Swan". Ridiculous.
Teenager's bodies are still growing, changing, and developing, and you can't always tell how a procedure will affect the patient years later. The human body isn't always fully developed before a person hits 18 and the cosmetic changes could become distorted as they get older. Plus, the procedures are freaking expensive, usually a several thousand dollars, and they're not covered by health insurance because they're considered unnecessary procedures. Damn these people need to get priorities straight. The smart thing to do would be to invest that money in their college education for god sakes! I understand if a teenager had to get plastic surgery because of something that was affecting them physically such as rhinoplasty to correct a nasal obstruction or cleft palate reconstruction, otoplasty (ear surgery), or scar revision. Otherwise, I think it's just plain dumb to get plastic surgery at such a young age. It's just one of those things like people who get tattoos, once they get the tattoo they usually want another one, and another one, before they have all these tattoos they'll probably regret having later. So people who have plastic surgery at a young age will probably also end up getting botox every 6 months when they're like 30 because they're terrified of wrinkles, gets face lifts, collagen injections, and god only knows what else until they die. People just don't seem to want to grow old gracefully anymore; they want to manage how they age, and it's a sad situation...
