Universal Studios

Hello. You're back reading my stuff again.

Today I went to Universal Studios. I haven't been there since I was like 13 or something and it seemed the same, except they had some new shows and they took out the E.T. ride and replaced it with the Mummy ride. The T-Rex in the Jurassic Park ride that you see right before the drop STILL wasn't working since I had last been there. You'd think they would have fixed it by now since it's a big tourist attraction; the broken down T-Rex looks dead or something and it definitely takes away from the ride. I really have this feeling that Universal doesn't really like spending money on their theme park because they're too busy spending money on their films. I just found out today on the tram ride that it took about 12,000,000 dollars to make JAWS. I really don't like when too much money is spent making movies. I mean, I just think that that kind of money could have been helped the less fortunate, and 12,000,000 dollars could feed the impoverished people in other countries for a good amount of time and definitely replenish some of their living conditions. Another example is how the cast of FRIENDS were paid. A MILLION DOLLARS an episode. Fucking ridiculous. Yeah, a lot of people loved FRIENDS, but sorry, they're not THAT great and not worth a million dollars an episode. I mean, they're just greedy to ask for 7 digits for what, 30 minutes!! That's roughly about $33,333 a minute!!! And what do they do?? Just do whatever they did in the previous episode, act like their character, following some script and standing around looking like pretty people.

We live in a world where the rich remain rich, the poor remain poor, the homeless remain homeless, and the hungry remain hungry. Obviously there's something wrong and all due to our capitalistic and profit-driven society, we give money to large corporations instead of taking care of the people who need it. We need to take a step back and reaarrange our priorities. We need to start helping those that need it and stop feeling sorry for those that are already priviledged enough to have something. There are millions of hungry and mal-nourished Americans and billions overseas, yet our government spends trillions of dollars on war! Feed the planet not the Pentagon.

Shoes!

Prada Calzature Donna Raso Sport Moro

Stella McCartney Multi-Colored Canvas Platform Espadrille

BCBG Max Azria Datan Wedge

Michael Kors Star Gold

....but i can't bring myself to shop anymore. With all this talk about loans & post-school life, it's quite depressing. I stare at my closet and feel nothing but guilt. Ok maybe a slight twinge of happiness at the sight of the newest pair of shoes, but I'm trying to be a good girl and save for the future. That's a first. Me? Save? And I thought about what happens if I move to another state. I can't bring all my shoes with me. Well, I guess I could.....

Triple Star Sighting

I went to the Arclight today to watch the movie and guess who I saw!? Eriq LaSalle who played Peter on ER who sat in front of us in the theater, Mena Suvari from American Beauty who we saw in the elevator, and Harrison Ford in his car while we were driving out of the lot! It was funny when Eriq LaSalle walked out of the theater and we were standing behind him he said to his girlfriend, "See, I told you not to vote for him." Haha, hilarious. But anyway, wow, three celebrities in a day. Good times.

Current Event: Some nine year-old saved his mom's life when he took the steering wheel after his mom blacked out during an epileptic seizure. He safely steered the car off the freeway. When asked about it he simply responded, "Um, yeah I saved my mom's life, that's all." THAT'S ALL. What a cool kid. =)

Clinton

So Clinton is out with a new book, titled "My Life". What an original title huh? Bleh. Boring. When I opened the book the book started out with "Early on the morning of August 19, 1946, I was born under a clear sky after a violent summer storm to a widowed mother..." and then I closed the book. Ugh. I don't care to read a book about a past President except maybe the chapter on him and his affair with Monica Lewinski. I want details. Gotta love the details. ;)

2003 VMA Kiss

Madonna and Britney Spears are planning to re-stage their now infamous kiss, according to press reports.

This would be like Janet Jackson deciding to show her other ugly breast to America at next year's superbowl. Nobody cares!

BRITNEY Spears has been given permission to tour China on one condition - officials want prior approval of her outfits to check they are not too revealing.

Hmm, I wonder why that is. Maybe it has something to do with Britney's inability to keep her breasts inside her tops. Not that I'm complaining, mind you, but I can see how her crazy antics might piss off our more conservative friends in China.

Life's crumbs

Ever think that the universe was sending you little bread crumbs to follow? That perhaps your little hopes were being heard, but it's not really handed to you on a silver plate. just enough so you follow the right path?

But I'm not talking about some sort of religious thing here, just little things. Sometimes, I think the universe is just teasing me.

"Look here. It's what you always wanted. Oh, but it's just out of your reach. Sorry. Try again."

Don't get me wrong. I am so glad to be alive, to have the life that i have, to experience the moments that make up our lives, to live in the moment, to make each day different from the last.

I'm gonna take it as it comes. Whatever happens....happens.

Paris Hilton

We've all heard the jokes, so I'll just quickly refer to Paris Hilton as a giant praying mantis and then we'll move on.

Boy, that Paris Hilton sure does look like a giant praying mantis.

I'm sure we're all sick of Paris by now, but I know there are some of you out there who still enjoy seeing her in the occasional bathing/birthday suit. Is she skinny? Yes. But does anybody really care? Of course not. She hasn't quite reached the point of anorexia where it becomes disgusting so it's all good. Until then, we can all rejoice in the paparazzi heroes that keep on bringing us the pictures we loooove to see. -__-
