Hello. You're back reading my stuff again.
Today I went to Universal Studios. I haven't been there since I was like 13 or something and it seemed the same, except they had some new shows and they took out the E.T. ride and replaced it with the Mummy ride. The T-Rex in the Jurassic Park ride that you see right before the drop STILL wasn't working since I had last been there. You'd think they would have fixed it by now since it's a big tourist attraction; the broken down T-Rex looks dead or something and it definitely takes away from the ride. I really have this feeling that Universal doesn't really like spending money on their theme park because they're too busy spending money on their films. I just found out today on the tram ride that it took about 12,000,000 dollars to make JAWS. I really don't like when too much money is spent making movies. I mean, I just think that that kind of money could have been helped the less fortunate, and 12,000,000 dollars could feed the impoverished people in other countries for a good amount of time and definitely replenish some of their living conditions. Another example is how the cast of FRIENDS were paid. A MILLION DOLLARS an episode. Fucking ridiculous. Yeah, a lot of people loved FRIENDS, but sorry, they're not THAT great and not worth a million dollars an episode. I mean, they're just greedy to ask for 7 digits for what, 30 minutes!! That's roughly about $33,333 a minute!!! And what do they do?? Just do whatever they did in the previous episode, act like their character, following some script and standing around looking like pretty people.
We live in a world where the rich remain rich, the poor remain poor, the homeless remain homeless, and the hungry remain hungry. Obviously there's something wrong and all due to our capitalistic and profit-driven society, we give money to large corporations instead of taking care of the people who need it. We need to take a step back and reaarrange our priorities. We need to start helping those that need it and stop feeling sorry for those that are already priviledged enough to have something. There are millions of hungry and mal-nourished Americans and billions overseas, yet our government spends trillions of dollars on war! Feed the planet not the Pentagon.
