Gay Marriage

Me being the social liberal, excuse the language, WHAT'S THE FUCKING BIG DEAL!?!? These religious people talking about the sanctity of marriage. Oh let me tell you about the sanctity of marriage. You mean those shows like "Who wants to marry a millionaire" or "Joe Millionaire" or "My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance" that you know TOTALLY keep the sanctity of marriage sacred? Because you know the people that go on those shows actually have lives and really fall in love with one of the 10 people on that show they've known for like a week and live happily ever after. Uhh yeah, shows like that have made MARRIAGE merely another word in the dictionary. How can these people deny marriage between two people who really DO love each other? People argue that homosexuals just want to get married because of the tax breaks, or that homosexuals aren't religious. Could you come up with some better reasoning? What so you're saying homosexuals shouldn't get tax breaks or something? Nearly 3 in 4 people in the U.S. oppose gay marriage. Can't we respect people's values? How are gay marriages really affecting the people who are against it so much anyway?? Oh and Mr. President Bush, who so self-righteously called for a ban on same-sex marriages, attempted to write discrimination into the Constitution, and I'm sure you had a lot of pressure from his fellow social conservatives, but there's no need to have an amendment that would prevent states from recognizing BOTH same-sex marriages and civil unions.
